Review Tutor Orientation here: Tutor Training 2023-24

ABAE is an interprofessional organization that provides tutoring and mentoring for middle and high school students in the Baltimore metropolitan area. Volunteering to tutor in ABAE meets many student organization and course service requirements. We are proud to provide this service free for community members thanks to our UMB student volunteers!

Tutoring is held most Saturdays at Pharmacy Hall 10 AM – 12 PM. The first session this semester will be February 10, 2024.

All ABAE tutors will need to get a background check. ABAE will fund these, and the process is online and has a relatively fast turnaround time. We are transitioning to using UMB Campus Group management to handle volunteer signups and scheduling, but that transition has not yet been finalized. For now, please use the link at the top of this page to sign up for tutoring dates, whether or not you’ve volunteered with us before.

We tutor Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, Writing/English, SAT Math/Verbal, and any other subjects with which students may need help.
